About The Position
The Beverly & Soul Center YMCA is looking for enthusiastic Swim Instructors to join our Aquatics Team. This role is an opportunity to help children and adults gain confidence, develop lifelong swimming skills, and learn the importance of water safety. The YMCA provides paid training for qualified candidates, including training on the YMCA of the USA Swim Curriculum, shadowing and mentoring with experienced instructors, ongoing coaching and professional development, and a supportive team invested in your success.
Requirements
- Must be at least 16 years old
- Positive attitude, love of the water, and desire to make a difference!
Nice To Haves
- Current certifications in Lifeguarding/Swim Instruction, Pro CPR, First Aid, and Oxygen preferred – or willing to obtain
Responsibilities
- Teach swim lessons to children and adults of all ages and abilities
- Lead engaging group and private lessons using the YMCA Swim Curriculum
- Promote water safety while helping participants build confidence and achieve their goals
- Create a positive, encouraging, and inclusive learning environment
- Celebrate each swimmer’s progress and make every lesson fun and meaningful
