About The Position

Carolina Sweepers is hiring a full-time Sweeper Truck Operator (General Labor) for overnight third-shift work. The operator helps maintain shopping centers and other commercial properties by driving a company sweeper truck, using light equipment, and completing cleaning tasks at client sites. Work is performed independently and may involve longer drives between properties across the region. The schedule begins at 9:00 p.m. and continues until the route is finished, typically between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m.; the end time is not guaranteed. Weekend and holiday availability is required, except for Christmas. Employees must be willing to work outdoors in varied weather and handle trash. Carolina Sweepers provides safety equipment and training, and offers opportunities for advancement and internal promotion. Applicants must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Requirements

• No experience is required; the company is ready to train employees.
• Active driver license and clean driving record.
• Availability to work weekends and holidays, except for Christmas.
• Availability to work from 9:00 p.m. until the route is finished; the end time is typically between 5:30 a.m. and 7:30 a.m. but is not guaranteed.
• Willingness to work outdoors in all kinds of weather and come in contact with trash.
• Ability to send emails and use technology.
• Cannot work another job alongside this one.
• Must pass a background check and pre-employment drug screen.

Nice To Haves

• Landscaping, sanitation, or janitorial experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Drive a sweeper truck to clean commercial parking lots.
• Operate a backpack blower and other light tools.
• Empty trash cans and replace their liners.
• Hand-pick litter and debris to keep sites clean.
• Complete paperwork and use a mobile app to check in and out of job sites.
• Drive to client sites, including longer regional routes.
• Keep the company vehicle clean and in good condition.
