About The Position

The Salt Water Disposal Operator/Technician maintains daily operating records and reports, monitors facility and equipment performance, and performs preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps and other equipment with minimal or no supervision. The role coordinates saltwater deliveries, checks loads for acceptability, monitors facility water levels and pump pressures, and tracks skim oil volumes. It also involves working with truck drivers, monitoring compliance with proper procedures and personal protective equipment, and maintaining a clean, safe, and compliant facility.

Requirements

• One year of saltwater disposal operation experience.
• High school diploma or GED equivalent.
• Proficiency using the MS Windows environment and basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel.
• Strong working knowledge of PD pumps, Quinniplex pumps, H pumps, and centrifugal pumps.
• General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
• Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
• Strong initiative and ability to work as a self-starter with minimal or no supervision.
• Ability to prioritize work and multitask.
• Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills in a team environment.
• Ability to identify operational inefficiencies and implement cost-effective solutions.
• Understanding of business fundamentals.
• Technical skills related to mathematics and analytical thinking, including simple mathematical calculations.
• Understanding of environmental and safe work practices.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Clean SWD filter baskets on pumps and at offload locations.
• Provide excellent customer service while interacting with truck drivers.
• Check loads to ensure fluids are acceptable for disposal.
• Monitor water levels to ensure tanks remain within operating parameters.
• Inspect equipment and facility operations daily.
• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as needed.
• Monitor and account for skim oil volumes removed from the facility.
• Track pump pressures.
• Coordinate saltwater deliveries with trucking companies.
• Monitor drivers for proper procedures and personal protective equipment use.
• Maintain a clean and safe environment.
• Ensure compliance with HSE policies and saltwater disposal requirements.
• Report safety and environmental issues to management.
• Maintain neat and accurate daily reports and records.
