About The Position

The Salt Water Disposal Operator is responsible for maintaining daily reports and performing maintenance on pumps and other equipment with minimal or no supervision. The role includes monitoring disposal operations, coordinating saltwater deliveries, interacting with truck drivers, and maintaining a clean and safe facility while complying with health, safety, environmental, and saltwater disposal requirements.

Requirements

One year of salt water disposal operation experience.
High school diploma or GED equivalent.
Computer knowledge and proficiency in an MS Windows environment.
Strong initiative and ability to work independently.
Ability to keep neat and accurate records.
Ability to multitask and prioritize work.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills in a team environment.
General mechanical troubleshooting and repair skills.
Ability to identify operational inefficiencies.
Understanding of business fundamentals.
Ability to implement cost-effective solutions.
Technical skills related to mathematics and analytical thinking.
Understanding of environmental and safe work practices.
Strong working knowledge of PD pumps, Quinniplex pumps, H pumps, and centrifugal pumps.
Good written and verbal communication skills.
Basic computer skills, including familiarity with Microsoft Excel, and ability to perform simple mathematical calculations.
Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

Clean SWD filter baskets on pumps and at offload locations.
Provide excellent customer service while interacting with truck drivers.
Check loads to ensure fluids are acceptable for disposal.
Monitor water levels at the site to ensure tanks remain within operating parameters.
Inspect equipment and facility operating functions daily.
Perform preventive and corrective maintenance as needed.
Monitor and account for skim oil volumes removed from the facility.
Track pump pressures.
Coordinate saltwater deliveries with trucking companies.
Monitor drivers for proper procedures and use of personal protective equipment.
Maintain a clean and safe environment at all times.
Ensure compliance with HSE policies and saltwater disposal requirements.
Report safety and environmental issues to management.
Maintain records for daily reports.
