About The Position

This role is responsible for all phases of the software development lifecycle including requirements analysis, design, code and unit test, and hardware/software integration and verification. The individual will develop embedded software in C++ and Linux operating system in an Agile environment using JIRA, Git and Confluence. The individual will need to apply appropriate standards, processes, procedures and tools throughout the development lifecycle. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering, or related sciences
  • Experience with software design
  • Experience with embedded software design
  • Experience with C++ and software development
  • Implementation and Verification & Validation testing
  • Must be a US citizen - this position requires the ability to obtain a DoD Secret security clearance

Responsibilities

  • Lead the embedded software effort, driving end‑to‑end software delivery for embedded C++/Linux applications in an Agile environment.
  • Maintain and evolve software libraries for tactical components and operational environments.
  • Define, design, code, test, integrate, and verify embedded simulation software using JIRA, Git, and Confluence.
  • Manage and develop a multidisciplinary team, providing technical coaching, career development, and performance feedback.
  • Plan, conduct, and coordinate software development activities while ensuring adherence to standards, processes, and tools.
  • Lead recruitment, training, salary planning, and competency development; act as the technical conscience for the program.
