About The Position

Cadence is seeking a Software Program Manager to lead overall release management for Sign-off Products in the Digital and Sign-off Group. The role oversees product release planning and delivery across multiple stages, coordinating R&D developers, Product Validation, Configuration Management, and Product Engineering in a fast-moving environment. The Program Manager monitors release progress and product quality indicators, communicates status to stakeholders, and develops or streamlines processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and delivery against targets. The position also involves identifying and removing bottlenecks and using program and project management practices to manage scope, goals, deliverables, risks, and changes.

Requirements

• At least 8 years of program management experience; 10–15 years of experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science.
• Proficiency in program management and project management.
• Background in software development and validation processes.
• Experience coordinating across groups to achieve target timelines.
• Knowledge of theoretical and practical aspects of project management.
• Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
• Direct work experience in a project management capacity.
• Proven experience in people management.
• Proven experience in strategic planning and risk/change management.
• Proficiency with project management software.
• Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.

• EDA domain knowledge, including familiarity with tool development, support, and deployment.

• Experience using AI tools to build release infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Lead planning and track product releases through their various stages.
• Facilitate the definition of release scope, goals, and deliverables.
• Coordinate across R&D developers, Product Validation, Configuration Management, and Product Engineering to meet target milestones.
• Monitor and report product release progress to stakeholders.
• Develop and streamline processes to improve productivity, efficiency, and the ability to meet targets.
• Identify and remove bottlenecks.
• Monitor product quality metrics and track key quality indicators.
