About The Position

Sundt is seeking committed engineering (Civil, Structural, and Mechanical) and construction management students enrolled at accredited universities or colleges. This internship offers experience on challenging projects throughout the United States and opportunities to participate in activities involved in successfully building projects. Requirements

• Currently enrolled in a four-year Construction Management or Engineering program.
• Proficient in all Microsoft Office Suite programs.
• Be a team player, willing to take on challenges.
• Be eager to learn, curious, ask questions, and be ready to work hands-on.
• Ability to wear required personal protective equipment and comply with safety standards and procedures.
• Able to perform the physical activities described, including frequent reaching and handling objects; occasional stooping, kneeling, bending, climbing, and lifting, pushing, or pulling; and sitting, standing, or walking for up to an entire shift.

Responsibilities

• Assist with project record keeping, preparing shop drawings, and maintaining cost control records.
• Assist with report preparation, safety inspections, and submittal logging and processing.
• Assist with surveying, testing, sample collection, drawing correction, and filing.
• Assist with timekeeping, cost control, inventory control, schedule checking, and subcontractor monitoring.
• Attend bid openings and conferences; take notes, make records, and complete forms.
• Observe and report meeting results and conduct site tours for visitors.
• Prepare quantity take-offs and contact vendors and subcontractors for proposals.
• Work as a manual laborer, helper, clerk, technician assistant, or in similar capacities.
