  • Effective verbal and written communication skills; able to confidently present and sell through ideas both internally and to clients.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and media research/reporting resources.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the team in translating client goals into strategic media solutions that grow client brands and ensure strategic consistency across plan development and implementation, with a focus on performance-based media and analytics.
  • Collaborate with executive leadership on strategic marketing approaches, guiding the Business Solutions team, activation teams, and media partners in translating client goals.
  • Provide high-level strategic insights from campaign reporting and execute across all channels.
  • Apply and leverage attribution model functionalities to build media recommendations and optimize future campaigns.
  • Develop and maintain a deep understanding of internal and external analytics tools, identifying appropriate applications based on business needs.
  • Oversee the development of strategic frameworks for quarterly plans and lead strategic client recommendations.
  • Lead the team's understanding of client businesses, uncovering motivations and needs, and proactively learning about their businesses holistically.
  • Seek innovative media solutions to achieve client goals and evaluate client business health through analysis of key metrics (ROI, A/S).
  • Ensure strategic alignment across all channels and teams for an integrated approach.
  • Oversee day-to-day operations of the Business Solutions Team to ensure consistent, high-quality client deliverables.
  • Maintain a thorough understanding of client contracts, support their development and renegotiation, and prepare contract proposals.
  • Partner with EVP on staffing needs and plans.
  • Ensure collaboration with internal Horizon teams (e.g., channel & consumer research) to ensure tasks are within contract scope and executed properly.
  • Be responsible and accountable for all plans, deliverables, and subsequent actions and outcomes.
  • Advance client relationships by maintaining positive rapport and championing trust through a deep understanding of their business and consistent delivery.
  • Develop and maintain rapport with senior-level clients.
  • Leverage Horizon Next resources/tools and collaborate with partner and creative agencies to offer holistic business solutions.
  • Maintain trust and partnership across the direct team and the overall organization, ensuring positive collaboration.
  • Ensure the team anticipates client requests and guide them in troubleshooting and problem-solving with internal resources to provide proactive solutions.
  • Manage client expectations regarding timelines and deliverables, adjusting and reprioritizing as needed.
  • Negotiate and develop client contracts, ensuring profitability and identifying growth opportunities.
  • Determine when to escalate situations to executive leadership.
  • Act as the client's most valued partner, serving as a trusted and consistent voice in meetings and providing points of view.
  • Participate in Horizon Next department-wide conversations and plans.
  • Ensure an inclusive environment for team members to be their authentic selves and perform at their best.
  • Provide ongoing, real-time performance feedback to Directors/VPs to ensure continued team growth.
  • Guide the team in setting goals and professional development timelines, ensuring challenging, level-appropriate projects and learning opportunities.
  • Ensure team members have the necessary support to achieve development goals.
  • Take an active role in discussions regarding staffing needs.
  • Promote the work of both junior and senior team members and foster a positive team environment.
  • Proactively engage in continued learning opportunities internally and externally.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry trends by attending relevant conferences and events.
  • Utilize industry knowledge to influence and innovate for clients and internal teams.
