The SVP, Head of Development Practices & AI Product Development Lifecycle is a senior executive leader responsible for defining, leading, and continuously evolving LPL’s target-state Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC). Reporting to the Chief Technology Officer, this leader will redesign how enterprise software and digital products are created in an AI-accelerated environment, establishing the operating model, platforms, guardrails, and team structures that enable smaller, higher-leverage teams to deliver faster while strengthening quality, resilience, security, and accountability. The role will embed agentic workflows, autonomous and semi-autonomous agents, and human-in-the-loop governance across discovery, design, development, testing, deployment, operations, and continuous improvement. The leader will work across Engineering, Product, Architecture, Data & AI, Security, Risk, Legal, Compliance, and business leadership to integrate people, process, platforms, and AI into an observable, auditable, continuously improving delivery system. This executive will lead PDLC strategy, platform enablement, transformation delivery, engineering excellence, and developer experience. Responsibilities include setting the multi-year transformation roadmap and outcome measures; designing AI-augmented team structures and collaboration patterns; establishing enterprise standards for agentic development; developing the platform and toolchain strategy; embedding responsible AI and regulatory controls; guiding workforce evolution and adoption; and advising senior leadership on technology strategy, organizational design, and competitive implications. LPL describes its ideal candidates as strong collaborators who deliver exceptional client experiences in fast-paced, team-oriented environments; pursue greatness, act with integrity, and help clients succeed; and embrace creativity, continuous improvement, and shared success.
