About The Position

This position is for a Sustainment Engineer to support the Life Cycle Logistics Support (Supply Support) support responsible for logistics, and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Responsible for ensuring that the final product or system meets the requirements in a way that is technically feasible, achievable within the given timeframe, with affordability. Personnel are responsible for reporting and data analysis and must keep open lines of communication with Field Service Representatives for related activities. Perform Logistics effort includes coordinating supply related services for material / hardware movements in support of program activities based on the Program schedule. Coordinate shipments in and out of the facility. Track calibrated tooling to ensure date compliance. Must be able to work well with other team members, handle multiple tasks and provide logistical support for a multitude of different contracts. Awareness and/or experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Coordinates with program POCs to provide timely status which requires interfacing with multiple functional groups to achieve completion of sustainment activities. Personnel are on call 24/7 to provide Sustainment, Logistics and Field Support. Candidate will interface with multiple disciplines daily and should have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn. Candidate will spend majority of time working in a team environment. Provide technical knowledge in the testing, operation, calibration, and maintenance for the HIMARS and M270 Launchers. Provide technical guidance, liaison assistance and information pertinent to the evaluation of operational difficulties involving the HIMARS and M270 Launchers and other equipment directly involved with the maintenance and operation of the system. There may be some travel required for this position.

Requirements

  • Must be able to obtain Secret clearance
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university or equivalent experience/combined education or previous Military experience.
  • Knowledge of shipping/receiving/warehousing activities
  • Able to execute warehouse tasks that involve lifting items that weigh 40 lbs
  • Able to operate material handling equipment (pallet stacker, forklift, etc)
  • Excellent Oral and Written communication skills
  • Proficiency/experience using Microsoft Office Suite, i.e., Excel, Word, PowerPoint
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Awareness and/or experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Must be a US Citizen for consideration.
