About The Position

This position is for a Sustainment Engineer to support the Life Cycle Logistics Support (LCLS) Supply Support responsible for logistics, and support requirements for the lifecycle of the product. Responsible for ensuring that the final product or system meets the requirements in a way that is technically feasible, achievable within the given timeframe, with affordability. Will be responsible updating the database LCLS utilizes to track shipments, monitor spares and update as delivered / as maintained configuration for all field hardware. Reports directly to the Sustainment Operations Depot Lead under the LSE AME contracts. Personnel are responsible for reporting and data analysis and must keep open lines of communication with Field Service Representatives for related activities. Perform Logistics effort includes coordinating supply related services for material / hardware movements in support of program activities based on the Program schedule. Coordinate shipments in and out of the facility. Track calibrated tooling to ensure date compliance. Must be able to work well with other team members, handle multiple tasks and provide logistical support for a multitude of different contracts. Awareness and/or experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR). Must have strong verbal and written communication skills. Coordinates with program POCs to provide timely status which requires interfacing with multiple functional groups to achieve completion of sustainment activities. Personnel are on call 24/7 to provide Sustainment, Logistics and Field Support. Candidate will interface with multiple disciplines daily and should have strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn. Candidates will spend majority of time working in a team environment. Provide technical knowledge in the testing, operation, calibration, and maintenance for the HIMARS and M270 Launchers. Provide technical guidance, liaison assistance and information pertinent to the evaluation of operational difficulties involving the HIMARS and M270 Launchers and other equipment directly involved with the maintenance and operation of the system.

Requirements

  • Excellent communication skills and Customer Service orientation
  • 2 yr college degree or equivalent experience
  • Ability to obtain a Secret Clearance
  • Proficiency / experience using Microsoft Office Suite (Access, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Word)
  • Ability to interface with a variety of information technology applications, example 3D Printing.
  • Technical writing experience and ability to perform oral presentations in front of large groups.
  • Awareness and/or experience with International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR).
  • Must have strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a desire to learn.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with the Army Supply System with Military experience.
  • Ability to work in a cross-functional IPT environment, i.e. Contracts, Quality, Global Supply Chain and Production Teams.
  • Experience using SAP client applications.
  • Experience interacting with direct Program Management and Defense Contractor Management Agency (DCMA) customers.
  • Individuals must be a self-starter capable of effectively managing daily tasks and priorities flowed down from management.
  • Experience with Depot Operations & logistics.

Responsibilities
