About The Position

As a Sustaining Electrical Engineer I, you will support electrical design and manufacturing activities for existing products. This role focuses on learning core systems, troubleshooting issues, and contributing to improvements under guidance.

Requirements

  • 0-2 years of experience
  • Understanding of circuit behavior and schematic design
  • Familiarity with lab equipment (multimeter, oscilloscope)
  • Strong willingness to learn and develop technical skills
  • Candidates must reside within commuting distance of our Boulder, CO office.

Nice To Haves

  • Exposure to PCBA design tools such as Altium Designer preferred
  • Basic scripting or data analysis skills preferred

Responsibilities

  • Assist the immediate team in the development of electrical test setups and fixtures for server and tape library components.
  • Support the transition of electrical designs into manufacturing by shadowing the release process for new PCBAs.
  • Analyze basic performance data with guidance to identify routine component issues or improvement opportunities.
  • Troubleshoot low-complexity manufacturing and field issues related to discrete electrical components and basic power assemblies.
  • Maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs) for electrical assemblies to ensure production continuity.
  • Execute defined electrical test methods and validation activities to ensure conformance to product specifications.
  • Support End-of-Life (EOL) component identification and basic replacement research.
  • Update existing schematics and documentation under close supervision.
  • Collaborate with immediate cross-functional peers to provide data for failure analysis reports.
