As part of our rapid U.S. growth, XNRGY Climate Systems is seeking a Sustaining Engineer based in Mesa, AZ to ensure the reliability, serviceability, and continuous improvement of large-scale HVAC and refrigeration systems used in data centers. Reporting to the Service Operations Excellence Manger, this role sits at the intersection of field service, engineering, and quality, acting as the technical bridge between what happens in the field and how the product is designed, assembled, and improved.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or related field
  • 5+ years in field service, product support, or reliability engineering for mechanical/electrical systems, preferably with mission-critical products such as CRAH units, chillers, or HVAC systems
  • Strong troubleshooting skills (electrical, mechanical, controls)
  • Experience working directly with field technicians, commissioning teams, or service operations
  • Strong communication skills across technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Comfortable working in low-structure, high-ambiguity environments
  • Willingness to travel up to 20%

Responsibilities

  • Lead technical troubleshooting and provide advanced support across service operations and field activities
  • Drive root cause investigations for recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
  • Manage commissioning and validation of systems in real-world operating conditions
  • Translate field failures into engineering actions, corrective fixes, and product improvements
  • Modify product drawings (CAD) to reflect field insights and service improvements
  • Develop and improve SOPs, troubleshooting guides, and service documentation
  • Support field technicians and service teams with real-time technical guidance and problem resolution
