Sustainability Project Manager
About The Position
Eurofins Scientific is an international life sciences company providing a unique range of analytical testing services to clients across multiple industries to make life and our environment safer, healthier, and more sustainable. The Eurofins network of companies is the global leader in food, environment, pharmaceutical and cosmetic product testing and in agroscience Contract Research Organisation services. The Project Manager role will be primarily focused on managing site workplace wellness and inclusion initiatives. The role will also be required to maintain and expand community partnerships and represent Eurofins at external events. This position offers a hybrid schedule with a requirement for weekly on-site presence. The role involves coordinating data gathering and content for the business line annual sustainability report, enhancing the report with client-requested data and industry expectations, and publishing articles to communicate sustainable initiatives. It also includes providing education on sustainable business practices and ESG initiatives, supporting sustainability program initiatives, communicating with external contacts, and coordinating projects with Facilities and EHS management to reduce waste and energy consumption. The role may involve grant writing, researching and presenting new project ideas with ROI data, assisting with training new employees, supporting program expansion to other Eurofins BPT sites, and developing tools to track company cost savings related to sustainable initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in science, public health, communications with coursework/focus/concentration in sustainability.
- Authorization to work in the United States indefinitely without restriction or sponsorship.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Ability to work independently.
Responsibilities
- Manage site workplace wellness and inclusion initiatives.
- Maintain and expand community partnerships.
- Represent Eurofins at external events.
- Coordinate data gathering and content for the business line annual sustainability report.
- Enhance the sustainability report to include data requested by clients or to comply with current industry expectations.
- Work with department management to publish articles in company/client newsletters to communicate sustainable initiatives.
- Provide education for clients/employees related to sustainable business practices and ESG initiatives.
- Support Sustainability program initiatives.
- Communicate and provide support to external contacts for existing programs related to the sustainability program.
- Coordinate projects with Facilities and EHS management to reduce waste and energy consumption and recognize cost savings.
- Assist with grant writing when applicable.
- Independently research and present new project ideas related to sustainable initiatives including ROI data for Executive Management.
- Assist with training new employees in the Sustainability department.
- Support expansion of program at other Eurofins BPT sites.
- Develop tools to track company cost savings specific to sustainable initiatives for Executive Management.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
