Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in post-secondary education in Business Administration, Sustainability, Environmental Sciences, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately collect and record data.
  • Analytical mindset with an interest in sustainability metrics and environmental impact.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic data analysis.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a structured environment.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Interest in sustainability, recycling systems, and circular economy principles.
  • Selected candidate will be required to complete a Criminal Record Check.

Responsibilities

  • Collecting and recording data on donated textiles, including brand, type, and material composition.
  • Sorting and tracking plastic recycling streams by type and color to support proper diversion processes.
  • Monitoring and documenting product quality to support sustainability and waste reduction analysis.
  • Supporting organics recycling programs by tracking participation, weights, and site compliance.
  • Assisting with energy and sustainability reporting by compiling and validating data from multiple sources.
  • Conducting waste audits at Impact Centres and analyzing data to identify trends and opportunities for improvement.
  • Supporting sustainability initiatives and campaigns (e.g., Earth Month, Culture Days) and contributing to environmental engagement activities.
