About The Position

Watershed is seeking a customer-focused and analytically-minded individual to join its Sustainability Data Advisory team in San Francisco. This role offers the chance to be part of a core team at a growth-stage startup, working with leading global companies to advance their sustainability initiatives. The position involves direct customer engagement, leading measurement sessions, and providing advisory services to maximize the value of Watershed's platform. This will enable customers to gain clear, reliable insights into their sustainability impact and achieve their sustainability goals.

Requirements

• 5-6 years of experience in a consulting, solutions-engineering, or other customer-facing role.
• Experience in sustainability-related fields, greenhouse gas accounting and/or ESG reporting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Ability to learn quickly and operate effectively in ambiguous situations.
• Organized, systematic, and efficient.
• Ability to thrive in a high-volume environment.
• Strong analytical skills and comfort using and discussing data.
• Meticulous and detail-oriented.
• Passion for solving climate change and contributing to a fast-paced startup.
• Willingness to work from an office 4 days per week.

Responsibilities

• Advise sustainability teams at top global companies on measuring actionable carbon and non-carbon footprints to achieve sustainability goals and drive real reductions.
• Conduct scoping for new measurements and perform in-depth methodology comparisons between footprints.
• Deliver services that accelerate customer success, including setting up measurements to meet sustainability goals.
• Serve as a trusted partner in emissions verifications.
• Provide specialized advisory to optimize customer data and methodologies.
• Ensure customers unlock maximum value from Watershed's platform faster and more effectively.
• Collaborate with science, engineering, and product teams to pioneer innovative measurement solutions and expand Watershed's sustainability intelligence layer.
