Sushi Trainee
About The Position
Bring your love for sushi, and we'll teach you the rest! In this role, you will help prepare fresh, high-quality sushi rolls to be sold in the store, as well as help customers with made-to-order or special requests. You will work alongside experienced sushi chefs, learning traditional techniques and perfecting your craft in a fast-paced, customer-focused environment. The role is based at 100 Applied Bank Blvd, Glen Mills, PA 19342. Availability is required for mornings, afternoons, evenings, and weekends, with shifts starting as early as 5 a.m. Applicants must be at least 18 years old. The position is full-time and pays $16.50 per hour.
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years old.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, including slicing fish, cutting vegetables, and making sushi rice.
- Assist in making sushi rolls, nigiri, sashimi, and other menu items according to recipes and presentation standards.
- Maintain kitchen cleanliness and organization while following food safety and sanitation guidelines.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment to ensure timely preparation.
- Uphold excellent food presentation and customer satisfaction.
- Help customers with made-to-order and special requests.
