About The Position

The company is seeking an experienced Surveyor to join its Capital Projects team in Deer Park, TX. This role involves planning, organizing, and directing surveying work to determine precise locations and measurements for construction mapping, land division, and other purposes. Previous experience in a civil craft is preferred.

Requirements

  • TWIC Card REQUIRED.
  • High school or equivalent.
  • One (1) to four (4) years of experience in specified skill.
  • Advanced knowledge of Surveyor tools and equipment.
  • Must have knowledge of and ability to use all surveying equipment and techniques.
  • Ability to read and write.
  • Ability to recognize and report safety hazards.
  • Ability to interpret written plans and blueprints.
  • Ability to apply basic mathematical skills.
  • Ability to plan work and select proper tools.
  • Ability to compare and understand differences in the size, shape and form of lines, figures and objects.
  • Ability to picture and evaluate solid objects from drawing or diagrams using standards that can be measured or checked.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with others.
  • Ability to work in a team and get along with others.
  • Ability to learn new tasks.
  • Ability to remember processes, maintain focus, and complete tasks.

Responsibilities

  • Provides work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by construction workers.
  • Provides checking of as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
  • Provides topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities.
  • Provides quantity calculations as required.
  • Prepares documentation of surveying activities.
  • Maintains condition and adjustment of surveying equipment.
  • Coordinates surveying activities to meet construction requirements.
  • Performs additional assignments as directed by supervisor.
