About The Position

WHB Engineers is seeking an organized, dependable, versatile Surveyor/Party Chief with 10 or more years of field surveying experience. The position works under general direction on complex projects and requires strong communication, independence, teamwork, and professional client interaction. Field work includes topographic and boundary surveys, as well as receiving and processing client work orders. Field work requires union membership. Benefits are provided through Operating Engineers Local Union 3. The hourly rate is $66.05.

Requirements

• 10 or more years of demonstrated surveying experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent customer service skills, including the ability to interact professionally and knowledgeably with clients and contractors.
• Union membership is required for field work.
• Self-motivated and goal oriented, with strong attention to detail.
• Meticulous about the work produced.

Nice To Haves

• California PLS License, or LSIT actively pursuing a California PLS License.

Responsibilities

• Work under general direction on complex projects in accordance with project requirements and surveying standards.
• Help ensure projects stay on schedule, remain within budget, and meet client requirements.
• Perform field work for topographic and boundary surveys.
• Receive and process client work orders.
• Perform other duties as required.
