The Calgary Construction Operations team is seeking a talented GPS Surveyor for the 2026 Construction Season in Calgary, Alberta.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Gradesman/Surveyor in the road construction industry.
  • Experience reading blueprints is required.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs on a regular basis and stand/walk for long periods of time.
  • Ability to communicate with supervisors, co-workers, contractors and the general public in a courteous, professional manner at all times.
  • Maintains a valid Class 5 driver’s license or better.
  • Own vehicle to get to and from jobsite.
  • Willing to work overtime, as required.
  • Must comply with the company's drug & alcohol program, including testing requirement.

Nice To Haves

  • Experience with Trimble and Topcon is an asset.
  • Ability to operate construction equipment is an asset.

Responsibilities

  • Uses survey equipment to perform grade for construction sites.
  • Perform work in a safe manner.
  • Read, interpret, and explain construction drawings and grade stakes to employees and Foreman.
  • Inform equipment operators on the necessary grade requirements.
  • Communicate with truck drivers to inform them of unloading stations.
  • Inspects grades using a variety of measures: boning rods, levels, string line, lasers, GPS, etc.
