About The Position

Merrick & Company is hiring a career- and quality-minded Survey Technician I to support challenging land surveying projects, including boundary, GPS, photogrammetry, easement/right-of-way, ALTA, topographic, and as-built surveys. The role works under the direct supervision of a Land Surveyor in the company’s Chamblee, Georgia office.

The Survey Technician I works in AutoCAD Civil 3D, collaborates with other disciplines, and contributes to meeting schedules and budget commitments. Work includes preparing legal descriptions and exhibits; drafting monumented land survey plats and topographical and contour maps; working with HDS point clouds; and assisting with field assignments as needed. The position also calls for independent work, effective written and oral communication, and problem-solving ability.

Requirements

• At least one year of experience working with AutoCAD Civil 3D.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Local candidates only.
• Meet expectations for attendance and punctuality.
• Valid driver’s license, good driving record, and insurability under Merrick’s insurance carrier.
• Eligible to work in the United States without sponsorship.
