About The Position

Parametrix is seeking talented survey professionals who are passionate about delivering high-quality work and building the infrastructure that strengthens our communities. This is an opportunity for experienced Survey Technicians, Field Surveyors, LSITs, Professional Land Surveyors (PLS), or Project Surveyors to join a 100% employee-owned consulting firm. The role involves contributing to various survey projects, from boundary and topographic surveys to construction staking, control networks, and utilizing emerging technologies like UAVs and laser scanning. Depending on experience, responsibilities may also include project planning, client coordination, and mentoring junior staff.

Requirements

• Experience in land surveying, field operations, office surveying, or project management
• Familiarity with modern survey equipment and technology, including GPS, robotic total stations, scanners, drones, and related software
• Experience with survey processing and CAD software
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
• A collaborative approach and excellent communication skills

Nice To Haves

• LSIT and/or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure

Responsibilities

• Performing boundary, ALTA, and topographic surveys
• Conducting construction staking and providing construction support
• Establishing and recovering control networks and monuments
• Working on utility and roadway improvement projects
• Conducting right-of-way and as-built surveys
• Performing records research, creating legal descriptions, and boundary analysis
• Processing survey data and drafting
• Utilizing UAV, laser scanning, and emerging survey technologies
• Engaging in project planning, client coordination, and mentoring junior staff
