About The Position

The Survey Manager oversees survey teams at one or more project sites and provides technical input on engineering standards, specifications, design instructions, and land mapping. This full-time position supports an Advanced Technology project, including data center market segments. The role coordinates survey work with project engineering and field leadership, manages survey resources and budget, and helps ensure accurate construction layout and measurement.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience in survey or land mapping.
• Valid driver's license.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geomatics, or a related field.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) credential.

Responsibilities

• Provide work control lines and elevations needed for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff.
• Ensure crews perform layout work competently and accurately.
• Check as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
• Provide topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities.
• Assist with quantity calculations as required.
• Monitor and maintain the condition and calibration of surveying equipment.
• Coordinate survey activities with the assigned engineer and superintendents to meet construction requirements.
• Manage survey department resources and the assigned department budget.
