About The Position

The Survey Manager oversees survey teams at one or more project sites and provides technical input on engineering standards, specifications, design instructions, and land mapping. The role supports an Advanced Technology project, including Data Center market segments, and coordinates survey work to meet construction requirements. The Survey Manager also manages survey department resources and its assigned budget.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• At least 5 years of experience in survey or land mapping.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Proven leadership and management skills.
• Expert knowledge of land mapping and technical survey instrument techniques.
• Strong communication and presentation skills.

Nice To Haves

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, geomatics, or a related field.
• Professional Land Surveyor (PLS).

Responsibilities

• Provides work control lines and elevations for accurate measurement and correct installation of materials by field staff.
• Ensures crews perform layout work competently and accurately.
• Checks as-built conditions using surveying techniques.
• Provides topographic and cross-section surveys for planning and payment quantities as required.
• Assists with quantity calculations as required.
• Monitors and maintains the condition and calibration of surveying equipment.
• Coordinates survey activities with the assigned engineer and superintendents to meet construction requirements.
• Manages survey department resources and the department’s assigned budget.
