About The Position

AEI Consultants is currently seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our expanding Land Surveying and Mapping division. This role involves gathering field survey data, performing ALTA Surveys, and calculating legal descriptions of property boundaries. The technician will operate survey instruments and equipment for various projects including topographic, ALTA, boundary, and construction surveys, locating and determining land features by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles, areas, and contours.

Requirements

2+ years of relevant experience required
Willingness to travel within the United States required (anticipated travel is 1-2 weeks per trip)
Resourceful self-starter
Strong verbal and written communications skills
Knowledge of basic math and the types of measurements related to land surveying including linear, angular, elevations and unit systems conversion required
Ability to perform physical movements and operate tools and equipment outdoors in a variety of climates

Nice To Haves

Experience using AutoCAD preferred
Previous experience conducting ALTA Surveys preferred

Responsibilities
