About The Position

AEI Consultants is currently seeking an experienced Field Technician to join our expanding Land Surveying and Mapping division. This role involves gathering field survey data, performing ALTA Surveys, calculating and determining legal descriptions of property boundaries, and operating survey instruments for various projects like topographic, ALTA, boundary, and construction surveys. The technician will be responsible for locating and determining land by measuring and calculating points, elevations, lines, angles, areas, and contours.

Requirements

2+ years of relevant experience required
Knowledge of basic math and the types of measurements related to land surveying including linear, angular, elevations and unit systems conversion required
Ability to perform physical movements and operate tools and equipment outdoors in a variety of climates

Nice To Haves

Experience using AutoCAD preferred
Previous experience conducting ALTA Surveys preferred
Willingness to travel within the United States required (anticipated travel is 1-2 weeks per trip)
Resourceful self-starter
Strong verbal and written communications skills

Responsibilities
