About The Position
The EADS Group in Johnstown, PA is seeking a full-time Entry-Level Engineering Technician – with an emphasis on Survey field work to join our multi-disciplined engineering firm! This role is ideal for a motivated individual who enjoys working outdoors, learning technical skills and supporting civil engineering and survey projects.
Requirements
- Strong math skills
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work comfortably outdoors in a variety of weather conditions
- Physical ability to stand, walk, and perform moderate lifting during field assignments
- Willingness to learn and work closely with engineering and survey teams
Nice To Haves
- Post-secondary trade or technical school training; relevant experience may be considered.
- Previous survey, construction stakeout, or field inspection experience.
- Experience with survey instruments, as-built surveys, or utility stake out surveys
- Familiarity with engineering or survey software.
Responsibilities
- Assist with field surveys, construction stakeout, inspections, and data collection.
- Use survey instruments and related tools to gather accurate field information.
- Support municipal, utility and site survey projects.
- Assist engineering staff with project documents, reports, and technical data as needed.
