About The Position

A long-standing surveying company is seeking to hire survey personnel to perform survey mapping and plan development for projects throughout Ohio. This is a full-time permanent position with benefits.

Requirements

5 to 6 years' experience.
ORD (Open Roads Designer), Bentley/Microstation/Geopak, ProjectWise experience, particularly on ODOT.
Experience with ODOT Surveying and Mapping Specifications, CADD standards.
Prequalification as an ODOT Right of Way Designer.
Proficient with various computer systems and software, including MS Office; Word, Excel, Trimble Business Center, Open Roads Designer.
Must have an active Ohio driver's license with clean driving history.
Candidates are required to pass a Criminal Background Check and a 10 Panel Drug Screen.
Only U.S. Citizens or persons with a Green Card work permit may apply.

Nice To Haves

Civil 3D knowledge and experience beneficial but not required.
Registration as a Survey Intern or Professional Surveyor optional.

Responsibilities

Perform survey mapping and plan development for projects throughout Ohio.
Ability to work independently or as part of a team/crew.
Ability to review job specifications and determine best method of completing job.
Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing.
Experience researching property and other public records.
Demonstrated ability to process field data and resolve ambiguities.
Preparation and review of legal descriptions and verification of closures.
Occasional field work may be required.
