About The Position

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician in our Raleigh office. Candidates will be required to demonstrate strong self-motivational and organizational skills, experience with survey computations and platting as well as field experience required. Position may require work to be performed in the field. Land Development survey experience required with emphasis on land development projects a plus.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in land surveying.
• Strong self-motivational and organizational skills.
• Experience with survey computations and platting.
• Field experience.
• Land Development survey experience.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Registration as a SI.
• Emphasis on land development projects.
• Experience with Civil 3D 2022 or higher.
• Experience with Google Earth.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center.
• Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Experience with Trimble data collection equipment.
• Experience with GPS receivers.
• Experience with robotic total stations.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey computations and platting.
• Conduct field work as required.
• Prepare and organize field sketches and digital photographs.
• Complete daily checklists.
• Download data and manage daily files.
• Utilize Civil 3D 2022 or higher, Google Earth, Trimble Business Center, and Microsoft Word & Excel.
• Operate Trimble data collection equipment, GPS receivers, and robotic total stations.
