About The Position

ESP Associates, Inc. is seeking a full-time Survey CAD Technician in our Greensboro office. This is a great opportunity to join a well-established and growing Engineering, Surveying and Planning firm! Candidate will be required to demonstrate strong self-motivational and organizational skills, experience with survey computations and platting as well as field experience required. Position may require work to be performed in the field. Land Development survey experience required with emphasis on land development projects a plus. Computer skills involved in the submittal of daily files including downloading of data, preparation/organization of field sketches & digital photographs, completion of daily checklists are required. Candidate must be able to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record in accordance with the company’s driving (MVR) policy.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in surveying technology/geomatics, civil engineering, or related field.
• 5+ years’ experience in land surveying.
• Strong self-motivational and organizational skills.
• Experience with survey computations and platting.
• Field experience required.
• Land Development survey experience required.
• Experience with Trimble data collection, GPS receivers, robotic total stations.
• Ability to pass a drug screen, background check, and have a satisfactory driving record.

Nice To Haves

• Registration as a SIT preferred.
• Emphasis on land development projects a plus.
• Experience with Civil 3D 2016 or higher.
• Experience with Google Earth.
• Experience with Trimble Business Center.
• Experience with Microsoft Word & Excel.

Responsibilities

• Perform survey computations and platting.
• Conduct field work as required.
• Prepare and organize field sketches and digital photographs.
• Complete daily checklists.
• Download data and submit daily files.
