About The Position

We are seeking a full-time, detail-oriented Survey CAD Technician to join our team in Mandeville, LA. This Survey Technician will be instrumental in producing high-quality, accurate drawings across a range of infrastructure and land development projects. The ideal candidate has strong CAD skills, an understanding of surveying principles, and the ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Requirements

1-3 years of surveying CAD experience
Proficiency with Civil 3D & AutoCAD
Understanding of surveying principles, coordinate systems, and field data processing
Solid attention to detail and problem-solving skills
Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
Communication and collaboration abilities

Nice To Haves

Experience with GPS data, point clouds, or LiDAR is a plus
Knowledge and experience with Microstation
Knowledge of GIS applications
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Surveying, Geomatics, Civil Engineering Technology, or related field.

Responsibilities

Prepare ALTA/ACSM Land Title survey, boundary surveys, Topo, utility as-built drawings, including “plan & profile” drawings
Produce field worksheets for construction projects
Process and draft field data collected from survey crews, including GPS and total station data
Develop surfaces, contours, and alignments using AutoCAD Civil 3D
Assist with plat preparation, legal descriptions, and easement exhibits
Coordinate with surveyors, engineers, and project managers to meet project requirements
Maintain drawing standards and ensure accuracy and quality control of deliverables
Organize and manage project files and data within company systems
Revise drawings based on redlines and client or team feedback
