As a Site Supervisor with experience in mechanical and/or electrical systems and project management, you will play a key role in monitoring construction activities. You will work closely with engineers, contractors, and various trades, ensuring that work is carried out with precision and in accordance with plans, specifications, and contractual requirements. By acting as an essential link between project teams, you will directly contribute to the successful completion of projects in the Gatineau region.

Requirements

  • Technical diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in a similar role, with knowledge of applicable codes and standards.
  • Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle required.
  • Excellent communication skills in French and English, both oral and written.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Versatility, autonomy, and demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent report writing skills and experience working within multidisciplinary teams.
  • Strong attention to detail and a strong commitment to quality.
  • Curiosity and initiative.
  • Collaborative spirit and teamwork.
  • Proficiency in English is essential due to participation in commercial projects outside Quebec and national projects where all meetings and documentation are exclusively in English.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure the execution of small and medium-sized projects and compliance with plans and specifications.
  • Conduct site visits, write site notes, and issue notices to contractors to enforce contractual clauses.
  • Follow up with the contractor for the annotation of plans for the production of as-built drawings.
  • Monitor schedules and attend site meetings.
  • Verify the progress of work according to plans and specifications.
  • Contribute to the resolution of technical problems and provide expertise related to the interpretation of plans and specifications.
  • Analyze and negotiate change orders with contractors.
