About The Position

Responsible for all camera surveillance within the property to include gaming and non-gaming areas. This role involves training in various aspects of gaming surveillance, including identifying cheating and advantage techniques, methods of play, and dealing procedures for multiple games. The trainee will also learn to operate video surveillance equipment, write reports, document evidence, and identify areas of concern such as potential cheaters or thieves. The position requires exemplifying core values, DEI culture, and performing other job-related duties as assigned.

Requirements

• Ability to perform basic math functions mentally
• Ability to train through reading and practice unsupervised
• Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests
• Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information and materials
• Ability to read, write and communicate verbally in English
• Ability to use good judgment and decision-making skills with regards to irregular or suspicious activities
• Ability to perform basic addition, subtraction, multiplication, division and percentage math
• High School diploma or equivalent
• Mobility is required
• Must be able to sit and stand at the console to operate cameras
• Must have the ability to communicate by telephone and radio
• Must have the ability to bend over and reach from the floor level to 7 feet in order to perform daily tape changes
• Able to lift up to ten (10) pounds on a regular basis.
• Normal hearing and vision range are required
• Work in an environment of 8ft. by 8 ft. Employee access is thirty (30) inches and access passageway is twenty-four (24) inches Areas that employees need to access are as small as fourteen (14) inches
• Work is performed in areas that may be unusually hot, cold, noisy, smoky or dimly lit

Responsibilities

• Train in various aspects of gaming surveillance with emphasis on how to identify cheating techniques, advantage techniques, methods of play, and dealing procedures on the games of Blackjack, Roulette, Craps, Pai Gow Poker, Pai Gow Tiles, Let it Ride, Three Card Poker, and Texas Holdem’ Poker
• Train in the proper use of video surveillance equipment with emphasis on proper camera angles, video review techniques, saving of video/photos on digital systems, and video tape systems
• Train in report writing and documentation of evidence and incidents. This includes the proper terminology used, proper format of reporting, and training on who receives reports.
• Train in the review of video evidence with emphasis on identification of theft or cheating, identification and collecting of all available footage, identification of all possible views, and proper documentation of findings
• Train in identification of areas of concern with emphasis on the location and identification of possible cheaters, thieves, advantage players, or areas of possible loss through other means
