About The Position
Maintains a high standard of cleanliness in all public areas of the property. This role involves performing cleaning duties in various areas including public spaces, restrooms, and back-of-house areas. The EVS Porter is responsible for tasks such as vacuuming, mopping, cleaning machines and fixtures, emptying trash, and maintaining supplies in restrooms. Additionally, the position requires adherence to safety precautions, reporting hazards, proper chemical handling, and prompt reporting of needed repairs. A key aspect of this role is maintaining a high standard of customer service, assisting guests, and exemplifying the company's core values, mission, vision, and DEI culture.
Requirements
- Ability to understand written English to read caution signs, safety notices, chemicals and Supervisor’s instructions.
- Must be able to understand and comply with all company and departmental rules and regulations, policies and procedures.
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with staff and guests.
- Must possess knowledge of use, cleaning, and breakdown of equipment.
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Ability to provide internal/ external guests with service excellence.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Observation skills.
- Easygoing demeanor.
- Above average speech – both speaking and reading/writing English.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

- Work may be performed in an area, which may be unusually noisy and crowded.
- Mobility to include bending, reaching, prolonged standing and walking, accessing and lifting items from floor level to six feet high.
- Normal sense of smell, touch, sound and vision range.

Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning duties in all public areas, restrooms and back of the house areas.
- Vacuuming of the carpet, dust mopping the marble, cleaning slot machines, slot banks, carousel banks, countertops, mopping hard floors, emptying trash, cleaning ashtrays, pan sweeping the floor, cleaning offices, cleaning of toilets, sinks, countertops, fixtures, stalls, changing paper products, liquid hand soap, etc.
- Adhere to all appropriate safety precautions including proper use of equipment and protective attire.
- Report accidents and/or safety problems to supervisor immediately.
- Notify guests and employees of safety hazards by placing proper signage in the appropriate areas.
- Ensure chemicals are properly dispensed and properly labeled and are transported safely ensuring employees’ safety.
- Ensure all equipment being used is functioning properly and kept clean.
- Promptly report any needed repairs including equipment, carpet, tile, wallpaper, wood columns, chandeliers, sink, toilets, urinals, faucets, etc.
- Maintain a high standard of customer service.
- Assist guests with directions and services available within the Resort/Casino.
