Responsible for maintaining close, continuous surveillance of the entire casino property to protect life and property. This role involves coordinating and supervising the activities of all surveillance employees on the assigned shift in the absence of the Surveillance Shift Manager. The position requires monitoring all areas of the property, identifying potential security and safety risks, and reporting them for resolution. It also involves maintaining confidentiality of privileged information, utilizing equipment to identify and report illegal or suspicious activities, and ensuring strict adherence to Gaming Commission rules and regulations. A thorough understanding of gaming and cash handling policies and procedures is essential for protecting casino assets and gaming integrity. The role includes accurately identifying and reporting deviations from established standards, completing daily reports, and ensuring the accuracy and closure of logs and reports. Support for other employees, supervisors, and management in asset protection is expected, along with coordination with the Security Department for investigations. Facilitating information flow through meetings and trainings, and assisting with training initiatives for surveillance employees are also key responsibilities. Suggestions and recommendations regarding policy changes for other departments, with a focus on asset protection, are encouraged. In the absence of the Surveillance Shift Supervisor, additional responsibilities include reviewing daily activity reports, preparing shift reports for management, ensuring the quality of operations, and reviewing surveillance videos and reports for appropriate casino officials and outside agencies.
