Responsible for maintaining close, continuous surveillance of the entire casino property, in order to protect life and property at the casino. Responsible for coordinating and supervising the activities of all surveillance employees on assigned shift, in the absence of the Surveillance Shift Manager. This role involves monitoring all areas of the property, identifying potential security and/or safety risks, and reporting them for resolution. It requires maintaining confidentiality of privileged information, utilizing equipment to identify and report illegal or suspicious activities, and ensuring strict adherence to Gaming Commission regulations and company policies. The position demands an advanced understanding of gaming and cash handling procedures, protecting casino assets, and accurately identifying deviations from operational standards. Daily reporting and logging of actions, observations, and assignments are crucial. The supervisor supports other employees and management in asset protection, coordinates with the Security Department for investigations, and facilitates information flow within the department. They are held accountable for the accuracy of departmental records and may assist with training initiatives and policy/procedure recommendations for other departments. In the absence of the Surveillance Shift Manager, the supervisor reviews daily activity reports, prepares shift reports, ensures operational quality, and reviews surveillance videos and reports for distribution to appropriate officials and agencies. The role also promotes a positive work environment, encouraging guest fun, mutual respect, dignity, integrity, and open communication among employees, while retaining employees through involvement in training and development.
