About The Position

The Surveillance Observer operates the surveillance system and associated equipment, documents observations, events, and incidents, and follows established department rules and policies. This role requires providing service that reflects the company culture of Satisfaction, Togetherness, Appreciation and Recognition (S.T.A.R.). A key responsibility is immediately informing the on-site Indiana Gaming Commission (IGC) Agent, Security, and Supervisor on Duty of any Internal Control or State Regulation violations related to gaming activity, in accordance with the company's Self-Reporting Policy. Miscellaneous duties and attendance at training sessions are also part of the role.

Requirements

  • Ability to physically watch numerous monitors simultaneously and observe for extended periods of time.
  • Ability to manually operate various closed circuit video equipment and changing recording material as necessary.
  • Ability to maneuver and view action throughout entire casino whenever patrol functions are necessary.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to properly document activity in writing.
  • Ability to perform mathematical calculations in a timely and proficient manner.
  • Ability to meet department standards.
  • Able to learn and understand all casino games, procedures, and payoffs.
  • Able to learn and understand all IGC regulations.
  • Successfully meet all Skill Assessment requirements.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Nice To Haves

  • Two years gaming related or gaming enforcement experience preferred.

  • Performs miscellaneous duties as assigned.
  • Attend any and all training offered.
