About The Position

Command Investigations, LLC is hiring an entry-level Surveillance Investigator to conduct field surveillance investigations for clients. The investigator observes, tracks, and documents subjects’ activities, captures video evidence, and prepares reports for client review. Work takes place on the road, with potential overnight stays when necessary. Schedules vary by case and may include early starts, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Typical shifts are eight hours and may range from 12 to 16 hours. There is no guarantee of hours or case assignments, though available cases are distributed fairly and schedules may be discussed in advance. The role offers opportunities for growth within the organization.

Requirements

0–1 years of experience required.
Must be at least 21 years old.
Valid driver’s license with a clean DMV record.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
Must have a reliable vehicle with legal dark tint and personal auto insurance with liability limits of 100k/300k/100k.
Must have a smartphone, laptop with Microsoft Word, digital camcorder with date/time stamp and upload capability, covert camera of choice, tripod or monopod, and SD cards if applicable.
Computer skills, including ability to upload video and still images from a camera into an electronic system.
Proficient reading skills and ability to follow directions.
Ability to work independently, provide excellent customer service, and demonstrate strong interpersonal, organizational, and multitasking skills.
Flexibility and effective time management.
Ability to work holidays, weekends, and overtime.
Regular, predictable, and full attendance as assigned.
Willingness to travel and work the required schedule, with starts as early as 3:00 AM.
Complete a Command Investigations, LLC employment application and other required pre-employment tasks.
Ability to remember and understand instructions, guidelines, and other information.
Ability to lift up to 25 pounds on occasion.
Ability to sit, stand, and/or walk for long periods.
Ability to enter text or data using a traditional keyboard.
Required vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
Ability to hear, understand, and distinguish speech and surrounding sounds.

Responsibilities

Conduct surveillance by monitoring, tracking, and recording subjects during daily activities.
Perform vehicular and on-foot surveillance while maintaining cover and discretion.
Develop and execute pre-surveillance plans tailored to each location and case.
Record investigative findings through video and detailed written reports.
Capture subjects in public spaces, events, workplaces, and other environments.
Submit reports and video evidence within required timeframes.
Communicate with team leaders about positions, observations, and tactical strategy.
Use digital surveillance equipment, web-based technology, and investigative software.
Maintain confidentiality and professionalism while representing Command Investigations.
Follow safety standards and legal and ethical requirements during surveillance operations.
