About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic perioperative services team supporting a variety of surgical procedures across multiple regional locations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience, strong knowledge of operating room procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. This position supports a broad range of surgical specialties and may require travel between multiple campuses. Mileage for required travel is reimbursable.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist strongly preferred.
Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Ability to travel between assigned regional campuses as required.
BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

NBSTSA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

Prepare operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures.
Ensure surgical instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications are available and properly prepared.
Assist surgical teams before, during, and after procedures.
Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to infection prevention and safety standards.
Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team.
Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures.
Assist with surgical counts and maintain accurate accounting of instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies.
Prepare and maintain sterile fields.
Assist with patient positioning and preparation according to established procedures.
Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report equipment concerns promptly.
Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
Maintain a safe, clean, and organized operating room environment.
Follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Maintain appropriate documentation using electronic systems.
Work collaboratively with nurses, surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team.
Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support different surgical specialties and locations.
Travel between regional campuses as operational needs require.
