About The Position

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Surgical Technologist to join a dynamic perioperative services team supporting a variety of surgical procedures across multiple regional locations. The ideal candidate will have at least 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience, strong knowledge of operating room procedures, and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced surgical environment. This position supports a broad range of surgical specialties and may require travel between multiple campuses. Mileage for required travel is reimbursable.

Requirements

  • Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technologist program.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience as a Surgical Technologist strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of sterile technique and surgical procedures.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced operating room environment.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to travel between assigned regional campuses as required.
  • BLS certification required.

Nice To Haves

  • NBSTSA certification preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare operating rooms for scheduled surgical procedures.
  • Ensure surgical instruments, supplies, equipment, and medications are available and properly prepared.
  • Assist surgical teams before, during, and after procedures.
  • Maintain sterile technique and ensure adherence to infection prevention and safety standards.
  • Anticipate the needs of surgeons and other members of the surgical team.
  • Pass instruments, supplies, and equipment to surgeons and surgical assistants during procedures.
  • Assist with surgical counts and maintain accurate accounting of instruments, sponges, needles, and other supplies.
  • Prepare and maintain sterile fields.
  • Assist with patient positioning and preparation according to established procedures.
  • Ensure surgical equipment is functioning properly and report equipment concerns promptly.
  • Assist with room turnover and preparation for subsequent procedures.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized operating room environment.
  • Follow established policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain appropriate documentation using electronic systems.
  • Work collaboratively with nurses, surgeons, anesthesia professionals, and other members of the perioperative team.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to support different surgical specialties and locations.
  • Travel between regional campuses as operational needs require.
