Cleveland Clinic’s pediatric surgery team has a long-standing reputation for safe procedures and excellent outcomes. This team delivers the best available care, based on the latest research, for all pediatric conditions, including rare and life-threatening ones. Surgical Technologists play a critical role in supporting surgical procedures under the supervision of surgeons and registered nurses while ensuring the delivery of safe, high-quality patient care throughout the operative experience. In this role, you will maintain a sterile environment and provide essential procedural support before, during, and after surgery to promote optimal surgical outcomes. Responsibilities include preparing and organizing surgical supplies and equipment, setting up sterile fields and instrument tables, performing surgical counts, draping patients and sterile areas, and anticipating the needs of the surgical team during procedures. Surgical Technologists also assist by passing instruments and supplies during surgery, preparing sterile dressings, and ensuring instruments and equipment are properly cleaned and prepared for terminal sterilization in accordance with safety and infection prevention standards. A caregiver in this position works 9:00am - 5:30pm| after orientation, call is required with a 1-hour call window to be ready for surgery.
