About The Position

Position Purpose The Nursing Support (NS) colleague (uncertified, certified, unlicensed, or licensed) provides safe, quality health care services & / or assistance to patients under the supervision & direction of a registered nurse or other designated health care professional in accordance with level of experience, education, policies & procedures.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited school of Operating Room Technology
- Successful completion of national exam for certification by NBSTSA. Registry Eligible must pass the certification exam within 18 months from date of hire.
- BLS required.
Responsibilities
- Scrubbing and assisting with circulating tasks.
- Arranging instruments on sterile field.
- Maintaining an aseptic controlled environment.
- Assisting with pre-operative review of charts; pre-operative checklist.
