About The Position

Sanford Health is seeking a Surgical Technologist to join its fast-paced team at a Level 1 Trauma center in Fargo. Surgical technologists are an integral part of the surgical care team, supporting a range of cases including general, trauma, bariatrics, urology, gynecology, robotics, cardiovascular, plastics, ear-nose-throat, oral, pediatric, neuro, peripheral vascular, and adult and pediatric orthopedic trauma. The role assists surgeons during procedures by preparing and organizing operating-room instruments and supplies and anticipating the surgeon’s needs.

The schedule is Friday through Sunday, 6:30 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., for 36 scheduled hours per week. The stated shift is 12-hour day shifts. Compensation ranges from $24.00 to $38.50 per hour. Non-certified technologists start at $24 per hour; certified technologists start at $25.50 per hour, with compensation increasing according to applicable work experience. A $15,000 sign-on bonus is available to eligible applicants who commit to two years of work.

Requirements

• Graduate from an approved school for Surgical Technology.
• Obtain and maintain state and national certification as a Surgical Technologist when employment begins.
• Obtain Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within the first 60 days of employment in the position.
• If working in North Dakota, be listed on the North Dakota Board of Nursing Unlicensed Assistive Personnel (UAP) Registry when employment begins.
