About The Position

Northwest Eyes is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist for its Renton ASC location. The practice provides a wide variety of ophthalmic surgical services and uses advanced technology. The role offers on-the-job training and exposure to a variety of ophthalmic cases, with opportunities to work alongside staff, surgeons, and physicians. The ideal candidate is patient-focused and enjoys working with the senior community.

Requirements

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office Windows or G-Suite.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
• Demonstrated multitasking ability.
• Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
• Knowledge of sterile technique as applied to the operating room.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including the ability to convey ideas and information.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience as an ophthalmic assistant.
• Current CPR/AED certification is mandatory.

Nice To Haves

• ACLS certification is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Process and sterilize instruments to the highest standards.
• Handle instruments, supplies, and equipment needed during surgical procedures.
• Understand the procedures being performed and anticipate the surgeon’s needs.
• Ensure quality patient care during operative procedures and work cooperatively with physicians and staff as part of a team.
• Maintain sterile technique and vigilance of the sterile field during surgical procedures.
