About The Position
DISC Surgery Center is seeking a full-time Surgical Technologist at its Marina Del Rey location. The center provides spine care, orthopedics, interventional pain management, and sports medicine, with a focus on minimally invasive procedures in an outpatient setting. The role follows a Monday–Friday schedule and requires at least 30 hours per week.
Requirements
- Graduate of a recognized and accredited Surgical Technician Program.
- Two years of working experience as a Surgical Technologist.
- Successful completion of a BCLS course within 90 days of employment or current BCLS certification.
Responsibilities
- Prepare the operating room for surgical procedures.
- Assist with patient skin preparation and draping.
- Provide care, preparation, maintenance, and after-care for sterile and non-sterile supplies and equipment.
- Remove drapes after procedures, cleanse patients of prep solution, and apply dressings as needed.
- Clean and disinfect instruments and equipment after use.
- Participate in sponge, instrument, and needle counts with the circulating nurse.
- Stock, replenish, and prepare supplies.
- Review the updated schedule each morning and prepare room supplies and equipment.
- Back up the materials manager in placing orders for supplies and implants.
