About The Position

Cibolo Creek Surgery Center is hiring a part-time Surgical Technologist/Scrub Tech. The center has three operating rooms and one treatment room and performs outpatient surgical procedures in orthopedics and podiatry. The position requires weekday work only, with no holidays, weekends, or call. Some early mornings and later evenings may be required, and the schedule may change based on the surgical schedule and daily workflow.

The Surgical Technologist scrubs for surgical procedures and functions as a member of the surgical team. The role maintains a sterile field, prepares related supplies, instruments, and equipment, supports the Surgery Center’s philosophy, objectives, and goals, and participates in quality improvement activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Completion of a Surgical Technician Program and/or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Certification as required by the state and/or center.
• Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and management of the surgical patient.
• Understanding of aseptic techniques and their implementation.
• Ability to adapt quickly to changing patient conditions when needed.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills to collaborate with staff, engage with patients, and coordinate with physicians.

Nice To Haves

• Previous experience in an ambulatory surgical center is strongly preferred.
