About The Position

Sansum Medical Group, part of Sutter Health, is seeking a fellowship-trained orthopedic total joint replacement surgeon to join its physician-led, multispecialty medical group in Santa Barbara, California. The surgeon will provide clinical care focused on primary and revision hip and knee arthroplasty and may also serve as Medical Director of the Total Joint Replacement Program, providing clinical and strategic leadership for a growing orthopedic service line. The role offers the opportunity to build on an established comprehensive joint replacement program in a collaborative setting supported by specialists, advanced imaging, rehabilitation services, and an integrated Epic electronic health record. Procedures are performed at the Foothill Ambulatory Surgery Center. The Medical Director will help shape joint replacement services, drive quality initiatives, expand outpatient surgical capabilities, and develop the program as a regional destination for hip and knee replacement care. Compensation includes an annual base salary of $650,000–$750,000, an additional directorship stipend, a one-year income guarantee, a sign-on bonus, and productivity incentives, with an opportunity to move to productivity after six months. Additional support includes home loan assistance, student loan repayment assistance, relocation assistance, and covered licensure, DEA, and board certification fees. Requirements

MD.
Directly related experience in orthopedics and total joints.
Excellent skill set in orthopedic and total joint surgeries.
Board certified or board eligible in orthopedics.
DEA certificate.
Eligible to work in the United States.
California licensure or the ability to obtain California licensure.
Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.
