About The Position

Join Hillcrest Medical Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma, as a day-shift, full-time Certified Surgical Technologist. The role supports surgical care by applying sterile technique and knowledge of surgical procedures, anatomy, instruments, and equipment. The Surgical Technologist assists the surgical team with the plan of care and collaborates with healthcare professionals to support effective patient care and desired outcomes. The position also supports operating-room workflow, including room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning. Requirements

Graduate from an accredited surgical technology program.
Hold NBSTSA or NCCT Certified Surgical Technologist certification.
High school diploma or GED.
Obtain BLS certification within 14 days of hire or transfer into the role and before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

One year of surgical technologist experience.

Responsibilities

Demonstrate knowledge of sterile technique, sterilization procedures, principles of surgical procedures, anatomy and physiology, and the use and care of surgical instruments and equipment.
Assist the surgical team in accomplishing the plan of surgical care.
Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to support effective and efficient patient care delivery and desired patient outcomes.
Understand surgery-schedule workflow and be available to support room turnovers, patient transport, and cleaning.
