About The Position
Chestnut Surgery Center is an ambulatory surgery center specializing in urology and ophthalmology procedures. The center is seeking a skilled, motivated Surgical Technologist to support both specialties while maintaining high standards of sterile technique and surgical safety. The role supports operating room preparation, intraoperative care, sterile processing, and collaboration with clinical and surgical staff. The position offers a Monday–Friday schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited Surgical Technology program.
- Strong understanding of sterile technique and instrument care.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and organizational skills.
Nice To Haves
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist (CST) is preferred.
- Sterile Processing experience is preferred.
- Previous ASC or hospital operating room experience in urology and/or ophthalmology is desired.
Responsibilities
- Prepare operating rooms for surgery by setting up instruments, supplies, and equipment.
- Assist surgeons and nurses during urology and ophthalmology procedures while maintaining strict sterile technique.
- Perform sterile processing duties, including decontamination, assembly, sterilization, and storage of surgical instruments.
- Collaborate with clinical and surgical staff to support workflow efficiency and patient safety.
- Participate in quality assurance and process improvement initiatives.
