Certified Surgical Technologist - CST
About The Position
The Certified Surgical Technologist supports cardiovascular operating room procedures, including CABG, valve, pacemaker, lead extraction, and lung cases. The position uses Cerner Surginet and works with a 1:1 ratio. Hospital-provided scrubs are used. Orientation for the floor consists of one shift with a preceptor. Shifts may be 8 hours (6:30 a.m.–3:00 p.m.), 10 hours, or 12 hours; mid shifts start at 9:00 a.m. or 10:45 a.m. Weekend and holiday coverage is through call. Call includes 1–2 weeknights per week and approximately one weekend per month, from the end of the Friday shift through 6:30 a.m. Monday.
