About The Position

Baptist Health is seeking an experienced Surgical Technologist to join our Surgical Services Team working in Neuro at Baptist Medical Center South. This is a PRN day shift position. Candidates must be flexible to work weekends, holidays, and participate in the required call rotation. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a vital role in supporting surgeons and the operating room team by maintaining a sterile environment and ensuring safe, efficient surgical procedures.

Requirements

• Less than 1 year Surgical Technologist Experience
• Associate's degree required or equivalent experience in lieu of education.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) required.

Nice To Haves

• Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) through NBSTSA or NCCT preferred, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Assemble, organize, and maintain a sterile field for operative procedures.
• Anticipate the surgeon's needs throughout each procedure and prepare instruments and supplies accordingly.
• Ensure proper handling and disposition of surgical specimens and instruments.
• Collaborate with the surgical team to minimize anesthesia time and promote patient safety.
• Participate in the required call rotation.
